# Security

Filedeck is designed for business file delivery, so security and clear access controls are part of the product experience.

## Private by default

Uploaded files are private unless a user creates a delivery room or shared link. Paid plans can limit shared room access with expiry dates and passwords.

## Managed infrastructure

For a public SaaS, managed cloud storage and database providers are preferred over exposing home servers directly to the internet. This keeps infrastructure patching, redundancy, and access controls easier to manage.

## Account protection

Filedeck supports authenticated workspaces and can be extended with stronger account controls such as two-factor authentication, role-based access, and audit history.

## Abuse prevention

Public file delivery links can attract spam or unsafe uploads. Filedeck should use file-size limits, abuse reporting, scanning, rate limits, and clear acceptable-use rules before public launch.
